Job Title: Ybor Reentry Workforce Program Manager

Ybor is a culinary reentry program and social enterprise that provides justice-involved individuals with a structured pathway to employment in the food service industry. Through food safety certification, culinary education, pre-apprenticeships, and paid Registered Apprenticeships, Ybor helps participants build career skills, stability, and purpose.
Position Summary
The Project Manager is a full-time role responsible for managing the day-to-day programs and support systems behind Ybor's culinary workforce development model. This position will work directly with incarcerated individuals transitioning into culinary training and employment, ensuring strong coordination among program phases, transportation, job-readiness services, and employer partnerships. The role will also support data tracking and reporting tied to the Vocational and Life Skills (VLS) grant.
Key Responsibilities
Program Coordination & Participant Support
Oversee Ybor’s reentry program pipeline as participants move from outreach and enrollment to food safety certification, SCC culinary training, Pre-Apprenticeship, and Apprenticeship.
Launch and coordinate Restaurant Ready programming with CCC-L, CCO, RTC, NDCS, and other reentry partners.
Teach Food Safety classes at CCC-L, approximately 3 per month.
Assist with SCC Culinary Classes, approximately 4 cohorts per year.
Coordinate logistics, including transportation to off-site training, pop-up work events, and partner locations.
Support participants with resumes, interview preparation, job readiness, and transitional needs.
Track participant attendance, progress, certifications, training milestones, and job placement status for grant reporting.
Collaborate with CCC-L staff and other partners to identify, enroll, and retain eligible participants.
Coordinate with the Kitchen Manager to ensure smooth transitions between program phases and alignment between participant goals and kitchen responsibilities.
Work with DOL to fulfill all Apprenticeship requirements and tracking
Attend pop-ups and restaurant operations when helpful to build rapport with participants and stay connected to the participant experience.
Employer & Partner Coordination
Build and maintain relationships with restaurant employers in Lincoln to support participant job placement and career advancement.
Recruit and support restaurants interested in participating in the Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship program.
Train restaurant partners to use data-tracking tools and fulfill participant apprenticeship hours.
Coordinate with the community partners to connect eligible employers and participants to wage subsidy opportunities.
Assist with onboarding employer partners for Registered Apprenticeship placements.
Coordinate participant scheduling with pop-up kitchen events, external restaurant partners, and apprenticeship sites.
Maintain regular communication with SCC instructors, restaurant employers, correctional partners, and transportation providers.
Support the successful completion of Apprenticeships, including participant celebrations and graduations.
Administrative & Reporting Duties
Maintain updated participant records, including certifications, assessments, training milestones, attendance, and employment outcomes.
Provide data to the Executive Director and NDCS as required.
Support evaluation and continuous improvement of program systems and participant experience, including expanding programming to aid organizational goals.
Qualifications
Passion for reentry work, workforce development, or social enterprise programs.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Experience in case management, program coordination, workforce development, corrections, education, or human services is preferred.
Ability to work with justice-involved individuals with empathy, structure, and accountability.
Comfortable working in partnership with correctional institutions, education providers, nonprofit partners, and local employers.
Ability to build systems, solve problems, and take initiative.
Kitchen experience is not required but encouraged, especially as this role will facilitate food safety classes and support culinary training.

Work Environment & Schedule
Requires some evening and weekend availability for teaching Food Handler classes, SCC Culinary Classes, Restaurant Ready programming, pop-up events, and participant support.
Includes occasional transportation of participants.
Full-time salaried position with a flexible but structured schedule.
Work will take place across Ybor, CCC-L, and SCC with expansion into other NDCS locations.
